Worship is one of the core values of our church. By worshiping God together as a faith family we receive God’s free gift of grace through the preaching of His Word and the distribution of His sacraments of baptism and Holy Communion.
We offer both traditionally blended, celebration contemporary services and a liturgical worship on various Sundays of the month.
Holy Communion – Sharing a Closeness of Faith
Some people feel that communion is a private thing “just between Jesus and me.” Yet, as a member of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod, we believe that each participant communing is making a statement of their faith. Therefore, we share a closeness of faith when we stand together at the Lord’s Supper. If you share this closeness with us, please join us at the Lord’s Table.
Holy Communion is celebrated the 1st, 3rd and 5th Sundays of each month.
“I would like to participate in Holy Communion. Is that allowed?”
As you prepare:
- Am I sorry for my sins? (Psalm 38:18; 2 Corinthians 7:10)
- Do I trust that Jesus Christ, God’s one and only Son, fully and freely forgives my sins by His grace? (John 3:16; Ephesians 2:8-9)
- Do I trust that with this bread and wine I receive the true body and blood of Jesus according to His own words? (Luke 22:19-20)
- Do I desire, with God’s help, to change my sinful life and live for Him? (Ephesians 4:22-24; Ephesians 2:10)
- These questions help prepare our hearts and minds for “close fellowship” at the Lord’s Supper.
- If you are unsure or have questions about the confession of faith being professed here, please speak with Pastor Millard. We look forward to celebrating a close relationship with you around the real presence of Christ, and growing together in faith.
Please note:
- If you desire to receive communion at your seat, please inform an usher.
- For those who require a gluten-free wafer option, please let Pastor know as you approach to receive the body of Jesus.
- For those who prefer no alcohol, there are individual cups of grape juice in the center of the individual tray.
Children’s Message
We believe it’s important for our children to participate in the worship service each week. The interactive Children’s message is a time for young children (and adults alike) to hear a simplified version of the day’s sermon topic to enhance their understanding.
Sunday School
While the adults attend Bible Study, children of the congregation are encouraged to participate in Sunday School, an interactive classroom-style Bible lesson.
We provide a caring, Christian atmosphere for teaching children the basic tenets of the Christian faith. Our dedicated teachers provide a variety of experiences to introduce the children to God’s plan of salvation. In addition to learning the Bible stories and lessons, the children are encouraged to express their opinions, lift one another up in prayer and to share the good news of Salvation. Appropriate and meaningful crafts are regularly integrated into the lessons.
