For a small congregation, we have numerous opportunities for members to use their gifts and talents to get involved at Peace. These opportunities can include everything from the Peace Care Stephen Ministry program or Caring Hearts (our Lutheran Women’s Missionary League group) to outreach within the community and participation in inner-city outreach activities.

If you like to teach, we have opportunities to become a Sunday School teacher, youth group leader, adult Bible Study leader and more.

If you like to work with youth, we have opportunities for you to help with our nursery, Sunday School or Vacation Bible School.

If you like to sing or play an instrument, we have opportunities for you to join our ensemble, festival choir or special music.

If you come to Peace and you find that we’re not currently offering a ministry that you have gifts and talents for, let us know and we’ll start one.

Adult Bible Study

There are a variety of Bible Study options available at Peace.

Each Sunday at 9 a.m., we offer a topical study. Some of our past discussion topics have included world religions, conflict management, current events and series on book of the Bible including Revelation, John and most recently Philippians.

Finally, for those who are unable to attend on Sunday morning, please consider our Wednesday Women’s and Men’s studies. For more information on this, please contact the church office.

All of our Bible Studies are open to members of Peace and anyone interested in our community.

Weekly Women’s Bible Study

If you ever thought about wanting to study God’s Word but you didn’t want to study alone or you were afraid you wouldn’t understand what God was saying to you, then come to Peace Lutheran Church on Wednesday mornings.  These sessions are led by experienced women Bible study leaders and are held at the church.

Wednesday morning ladies’ Bible study starts at 9:00 am with fellowship time and is over by 11:30 a.m.

Past Bible studies have included Beth Moore DVD studies on “Daniel”, “Breaking Free”, “A Woman’s Heart: God’s Dwelling Place”; a Living Way Bible study on “Ephesians”; and a LifeGuide Bible study on Angels. God has called Christian women into a special relationship in His church and in their families and their leadership is based on a foundation of God’s Word and the study of it!

Ginny Jahnke, a member of Peace Lutheran Church, a WingHaven resident, and one of the Bible study leaders said, “Studying God’s Word with other women of Christian faith is a great way of spending a couple of hours together. We are blessed here at Peace to have a supportive Pastor and church leaders who encourage women to become “Heroes of the Faith!’”

To check out how you might join the Wednesday morning women’s Bible study, email Val in the church office at val@peacewinghaven.org, click on one of the links below, or call the church office at 636-561-8282.

Weekly Men’s Bible Study

The hour-long Men’s Bible Study group meets every Wednesday morning at 9:00 a.m. at Peace to study God’s Word and discuss the practical application of it as it relates to men’s lives. Traditionally, it’s a study of a book of the Bible.

And, with this group, there’s usually a pot of coffee brewing and fellowship.

If you’re interested in joining us, please join us on Wednesday or contact the Church Office at 636-561-8282 for more information.
